Nuchal Translucency Ultrasound for Early Fetal Screening

The NT (Nuchal Translucency) Scan is a specialized prenatal ultrasound performed between 11 and 13 weeks of pregnancy. It measures the clear (translucent) space at the back of a developing baby’s neck. An increased thickness in this space may indicate a higher risk of chromosomal abnormalities such as Down syndrome (Trisomy 21) and other genetic conditions.
